A message from your Captain, Kevin Carney:

 

I’ve been touring visitors through Skookumchuck Narrows for well over a decade. From the time I first came to the area, I knew there was no going back to the city. From experiencing the laid-back lifestyle and epic oceanfront setting, I just knew it was where I belonged.

Skookumchuck Narrows is an awesome force of nature and we have to respect that to safely navigate the rapids. That’s why I use the same type of boat trusted by the Canadian Coast Guard and have equipped it with dual engines to easily handle the strong currents. I suit all of my guests in dry suits for added protection. We’re a Transport Canada Certified tour operator.

 

Once you’re aboard I want you to kick-back and enjoy the ride. Nothing thrills me more than seeing the excitement on people’s faces when we rip into the full force of the current. I truly believe we live in the most beautiful area in the world and I can’t wait to share ‘The Skook’ with you.

 

About Our Boat

Our tour guides you right into the action. With the exception of expert kayakers, there’s no better way to get this close to the awesome power of ‘The Skook.’ We use a 27 foot rigid inflatable (Zodiac), the same vessel trusted by the Canadian Coast Guard. Our twin 150 horsepower engines are powerful enough to handle the Skookumchuck currents with ease.
